In "what seems like another life", Christian Wig was a US Marine, allowing himself to obtain a BA degree in 1975 from Kent State University with a double major in Anthropology and Political Philosophy. Since then he has been a farmhand, folk musician, luthier, insurance agent, square dance fiddler, fur trade era rendezvous musician and aficionado of the French and Indian War. Two of his articles on Christopher Gist have been published in Muzzleloader Magazine. Currently he and his significant other make Southwestern style jewelry and sell at national level arts and craft shows across the country. In some of these shows, garbed in period clothing, they demonstrate and tell about the history of their craft. They live in the hills of east central Ohio. Christian's interest in Old Time music as a fiddler and banjoist leads him to attend music festivals and collect Appalachian fiddle tunes. |

I have been handcrafting woodenware since 1993, in the beginning working for someone else. At a point in 1995 I made a career change and had no time for a vocation that I enjoyed. After, also, dropping out of the 18th century (historical reenactments) for a couple of years, I was urged by my family to go back to the time period and people that I love, those wonderful people portraying what life was like in the 1700’s. The question became, “What should I portray?” |

Born and raised in Central Texas, Steve Sprinkle got his start in pottery while attending Texas Tech University in the late sixties. With a degree in art and a determination to produce functional pottery, he started his first studio in Austin, Texas. Moving to the Dallas area in 1979, after 25 years at his studio in the historic section of downtown Irving he has sold the house built in the late twenties holds his working studio. He is now temporarily moved to a studio in Dallas. |
